Call for bids for Bilateral Funds for financial year 2016-2017

The British Embassy Rangoon has now opened its call for project bids for the Bilateral Programme Fund.

We are looking for projects that can be carried out during the financial year 2016-17.

This year we are particularly interested in project proposals that come under the themes of human rights and democracy, good governance, and the rule of law. If you are interested in bidding for the fund please see the information below on how to apply and the deadlines.

Please complete the Project Proposal Form (MS Word Document, 218 KB) and send it to us before 03 March 2016. A full breakdown of costs in an Activity Based Budget Form (MS Excel Spreadsheet, 46 KB) must be submitted together with the proposal. Please use the templates provided and do discuss your project proposal idea in advance with us if you have any questions.

Bids will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • value for money

  • alignment with FCO’s Foreign Policy Priorities

  • evidence of local demand or need

  • project viability, including capacity of implementing organisation(s)

  • project design, including clear, achievable impact

  • risk and stakeholder management

  • sustainability

All project bids should be submitted by email to: Press.Officer@fco.gov.uk by 03 March 2016 at the latest.
