Lebanon: call for bids to establish cedar trail
The British Embassy in Beirut is inviting local Lebanese NGOs to bid for grant funding to establish a cedar tree trail.
The British Embassy in Beirut aims to establish a cedar tree trail to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Objective
The project seeks to support the deforestation in Lebanon by planting Lebanese Cedar Trees (Cedrus Libani) a part of the Climate Diplomacy Fund (CDF).
The project implementer is expected to have a strong working knowledge and experience of planting and maintaining cedar tree trails in Lebanon.
Bidding guidance and submission deadline
You are encouraged to read the Terms of Reference for the cedar tree trail in full. Guidance on how to apply is in the ‘Request for Quotation’ letter.
The call for bids is open until 12pm on 15 August 2023.
Timeframe
The term of the Call-Off Contract is expected to be up to 3 months. The contract is anticipated to commence on 1 September 2023 and end on 30 November 2023. However, the implementation of the objectives should be concluded before the 10 of November 2023.
Type of contract
The contract will be a Low Value Grant Agreement with payments based on the Activity Based Baseline (ABB) drafted in the Tender and updated during the inception phase.
Budget
This project has a maximum budget of £7,000 from 1 September 2023 to 30 November 2023. The Supplier is expected to spend 100% of the agreed annual budget by the end of December of each calendar year.
