CDE Innovation Network event: 9 July 2015, London
The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) held a networking event for science and technology providers in London on 9 July 2015.

It took place in London at The Grand Connaught Rooms, 9:30am to 4pm.
Head of Operations, Jim Pennycook, introduced CDE and gave an overview of proof-of-concept research funding opportunities for innovative science and technology providers. View the presentation slides.
CDE launched themed competitions for fully funded contracts on:
- what’s inside that building? (up to £650,000 available). View the presentation slides
- understand and interact with cyberspace (up to £500,000 available). View the presentation slides
In addition, technical experts from Dstl (the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) gave an overview of some areas where innovative research ideas are sought for CDE’s ongoing enduring challenge competition. View the presentation slides.
Bruce Hardie, CDE’s Technology Manager, talked about how to create an effective proposal for CDE funding. View the presentation slides.
Attendees were also able to pre-book a face-to-face meeting with CDE, Dstl and military experts to discuss potential proposal to either the enduring challenge competition or one of the themed competitions.
There were opportunities to meet other potential bidders, current Dstl suppliers, CDE, Dstl and military experts.
