Chevening Scholarships application window for 2023/2024 now open.
Applications for Chevening Scholarships to study in the UK in 2023/2024 are open between 12 September and 7 November 2023 at www.chevening.org/apply
Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals from all backgrounds who can demonstrate that they have the commitment and skills required to create positive change, and can show how a UK master’s degree will help them achieve their leadership ambitions. The scholarship offers full financial support for scholars to study for any eligible master’s degree at a UK university whilst also gaining access to a wide range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences.
This year, we are celebrating 40 years of the Chevening scholarship. During that time, more than 50,000 people globally have benefitted from the rich opportunity of the scholarship - , 700 of them from Kenya. There are more than 1,500 scholarships on offer globally for the 2024/2025 academic year, further demonstrating the UK’s ongoing commitment towards developing the leaders of tomorrow.
British High Commissioner to Kenya, Neil Wigan, said:
This is a fantastic opportunity for all Kenyans passionate about driving change, at a local or global level. If you want to be the best at what you do and if you have the imagination to inspire others, then a Chevening Scholarship could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your background does not matter to us – we want to see that you have energy, curiosity, compassion and a clear vision for the future. With a Chevening Scholarship, you could join our diverse alumni network, alongside leaders in fields such as business, politics, journalism, and development.
The call for new applicants follows the recent departure of 35 Chevening scholars from Kenya, who take up a range of Master’s courses across UK universities for the 2023/24 academic year.
