I would like to wish Chinese communities around the world a very happy New Year on what is the start of the most important festival in the Chinese Lunar calendar.
Over the next fifteen days, many ancient traditions will be celebrated, including visiting elderly relatives; watching lion and dragon dancing troupes; setting off fire crackers, and feasting with friends and family.
In whatever way you and your family start your celebrations tonight, I wish you all wealth, happiness, good fortune and a prosperous Chinese New Year, in this, the year of the Dragon.
