The 2014 Christmas Message from HM Ambassador Stuart Gill

christmas message

“As I write this, a snow storm is engulfing Reykjavik - at least guaranteeing a white Christmas. This storm is harsh by Iceland’s standards let alone the UK’s, so I wish everyone a safe holiday. For us at the Embassy, 2014 has been another eventful year. We have been busy across all our activities and working closely with all our wonderful Icelandic counterparts in the Government, Althingi, business, academia, the cultural community and across the country. Personally, I have managed to get out of Reykjavik many times to see all corners of this extraordinarily beautiful island and look forward to doing more in 2015, which promises to be as busy and just as exciting.

So, on behalf of Maggie and me and the whole of the British Embassy, thank you for your support and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
