Christmas message to Armed Forces

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has sent a Christmas and New Year message to Armed Forces personnel.

Mr Clegg said:

I want to extend my very best wishes to all of our Armed Forces, wherever you are based, this Christmas and New Year. You do a tremendous job, often in difficult circumstances and while separated from loved ones.

For this, and the sacrifices you make, you are hugely admired by people up and down the country and make us incredibly proud - not just during the festive season but every day of the year.

I wish you all a very happy Christmas and New Year.
