Staff of the British High Commission, Yaounde alongside their spouses and children celebrated Christmas with some underprivileged children from the orphanage better known in French as Centre d’Acceuil des Enfants en Detresse, based in Yaounde.

The event that took place at the High Commissioner’s Residence was a time to share especially as each child had a smile on the face after receiving a special gift from Santa. Staff of the British High Commission also brought provisions like food, cloths and toys to the orphanage.

Speaking during the event, the British High Commissioner, H.E Brian Olley said:

“It is a privilege to be able to invite so many children for this Christmas party and to bring little happiness and light into their lives over this festive season. Very many thanks to our sponsors for this event; Standard Chartered Bank Cameroon, Rig Repairs International and Brussels Airlines. My Very best wishes to all in Cameroon and the Central African Region for 2014”.
