Civil news: handy CCMS tips as we approach 1,000 users

Top tips to help the increasing number of people using our Client and Cost Management System (CCMS).

There are now nearly 1,000 Client and Cost Management System (CCMS) users and we’d like to share some top tips to help you make the most of the system:

Amendments to cost limits and scope

There is normally no need to complete the means interview when submitting an amendment to the cost limit and scope of a certificate.

This is only necessary where there is a change in circumstances or the amendment is to convert an emergency certificate to a substantive certificate.

You only need to use this area of the system if you wish to enter revised information.

If you would like further information on means assessment in CCMS you can sign up to a ‘means and merits assessment master class’ at the link below.

Remember to assign counsel

You should assign counsel as soon as they are instructed to ensure counsel can submit their bill promptly. A ‘quick guide’ on this is available on the CCMS website.

Compress documents

It helps to compress/lower the resolution on documents to reduce file size and make uploading them easier. A ‘quick guide’ on submitting electronic evidence is available on the CCMS website.
