CMA appoints new Senior Litigation Director
The CMA has appointed Jessica Radke as its new Senior Litigation Director following an open recruitment process that attracted applications from a strong field of candidates.
Jessica has been a part of the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) Litigation team since 2017, with the majority of that time spent as Litigation Director.
Jessica will manage a team of approximately 40 legal professionals and lead on the CMA’s litigation work across multiple areas, including mergers, antitrust and consumer.
The CMA has seen a steady increase in the volume and complexity of litigation across all areas of its work in recent years. This new role has been created to provide dedicated senior leadership of this critical area.
Jessica will work closely with the CMA’s senior decision-makers and wider team of Senior Legal Directors and report to Sarah Cardell, General Counsel.
Sarah Cardell, General Counsel at the CMA, said:
Jessica is an expert in her field and brings years of litigation experience and insight to this vital role. It’s a pleasure to welcome Jessica to the CMA’s senior leadership team.
Jessica Radke, Senior Litigation Director at the CMA, said:
I’m excited to accept this role at a time when the CMA’s responsibilities are ramping up and we’re tackling more and more complex cases across all areas of our work.
Consumers are central to everything we do, and I look forward to overseeing cases where our input – and the outcome – really matter, supported by a world class legal team.
Jessica took up her appointment on 25 April 2022. Before joining the CMA, she worked in public law and employment litigation for the Government Legal Department.
