CMA invites views on its consumer powers guidance
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is inviting views on its draft guidance on its consumer powers.
The draft guidance sets out how the CMA uses its consumer powers to address market wide consumer problems and explains how it enforces consumer protection law and its investigatory powers.
The CMA is interested to hear views on the clarity and detail of the draft guidance and whether it is helpful to have a single set of guidance which consolidates previous guidance.
The draft guidance is intended to update and replace the following:

Enforcement of consumer protection legislation (adopted by the CMA)

Guidance on the CMA’s approach to use of its consumer powers
