CMR4 and CRM5 replacement service launch

Apply for prior authority to incur disbursements and Apply for Extension of Upper Limit are the replacement services for CRM4 and CRM5 eForms.

eForm services ending October 2024

We would encourage you to use the replacement service and to provide feedback.

All providers should have received email confirmation that they have been onboarded to the replacement service for CRM 4 and CRM5 eForms. These services should be available on LAA Online Portal (legalservices.gov.uk), with immediate effect. If you have not received an email confirming that you have been onboarded, please contact NSCC@justice.gov.uk.

As confirmed in Digital developments for criminal legal aid: replacing eForms - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk), the deadline for transitioning to the new service has been extended to 4 October 2024. Providers are however requested to use the new service wherever possible to ensure a smooth transition.

Why is it happening now?

New digital services are replacing all CRM eForms.

You can find the new digital replacement services in your LAA Online Portal, under “Submit a crime claim”.
