CNC named in 2024/25 Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List
The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) rose 9 places to reach rank 42 in this year’s Inclusive Companies list.
Now in its ninth year, the Inclusive Top 50 (IT50) UK Employers is a definitive list of UK-based organisations that promote inclusion across all protected characteristics throughout each level of employment within their organisation.
The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers represents the promotion of all strands of diversity, including age, disability, gender, LGBTQ+, and race and highlights organisations across various sectors.
Last year the CNC ranked 51st on the Inclusive Employers List, but over the course of the past 12 months the organisation has made a targeted effort to ensure that the golden thread of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is at the forefront of all that we are and aim to be within the CNC.
The organisation has developed a Positive Action Statement, welcomed the first contingent of the CNC’s Domestic Abuse Champions and launched our Safe to Say campaign to streamline and modernize terminology on our diversity data disclosure fields.
ACC Kerry Smith said, “This placing comes as a result of all the hard work we have put in to ensure that the CNC is a place where you can come to work and be your complete self. I am really proud to see that as a national organisation we have placed in the top 50 amongst other Home Office Forces.
“Every single person in the organisation contributes to making the CNC a positive place to work – thank you.”
“Each year we receive 100s of entries from organisations who submit a huge amount of evidence in respect of their inclusive practices, covering a wide range of areas and topics,” said Paul Sesay, Founder and CEO of Inclusive Companies.
“The IT50 List recognises employers whose culture ensures diversity and inclusion are embedded into everything they practice with the judges looking for organisations which show consistent activity and evidence of sustainable change.”
