An exciting opportunity to be Assistant Chief Constable (ACC) of the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) has become available.
Our new ACC will play a leading role in ensuring the CNC has a highly-trained, skilled and professional workforce that merits the respect and trust of the communities we serve and our stakeholders across policing and the nuclear sectors.
The role also sees the new ACC leading on all operations involving our 1,300 Authorised Firearms Officers, both domestically, and internationally when engaging on escort operations.
As a member of the senior executive team, the ACC will be working alongside highly engaged and committed individuals who are equally ambitious for the organisation and our staff.
CNC’s Strategic Plan 2023/26 sets out bold and ambitious priorities for the force. Central to these are living our values, serving the public and delivering our core Mission efficiently and effectively.
As the governing body for the CNC, the Civil Nuclear Police Authority (CNPA) is seeking someone who can instil confidence, drive positive change, thrive in an environment of challenge, is solution focused, and leads by example.
Chief Constable Simon Chesterman said: “As an armed national police force with policing units across England and Scotland, we carry out a vital role in protecting national infrastructure and supporting the wider police family.
“The successful applicant will be joining a unique police force at an exciting time as we expand our operations.”
