We are making small changes to the Criminal Bills Assessment Manual used by providers for the assessment of bills.

The manual is used for criminal matters and cases outside Crown Court settings under the 2017 Standard Crime Contract.

What are the changes?

Minor amendments have been made to the assessment manual to reflect our changing approach to a series of offences in relation to contempt matters and breaches of injunctions. These fall under part 1 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Timescales

This new approach comes into effect immediately. Associated guidance in relation to these case types have also been updated and republished.
