Crime news: Liverpool chosen for defence portal pilot

Find out more at defence engagement event in Liverpool on 10 May 2016.

Liverpool is to have a lead role in the development of a new defence portal for practitioners to access a unified criminal case management system.

The city has been chosen as the pilot area for the system, which is known as the ‘Common Platform’.

You can find out more at a defence engagement event at the Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts in Liverpool on 10 May 2016 between 9am and 6pm.

Lawyers and administrators welcome

Even if you only have 10 minutes to spare it would be good to speak to you. The event will be useful for both lawyers and administrators.

We are in the early stages of planning the event, but wanted to publicise the date as early as possible. The idea is to give defence practitioners an opportunity to make arrangements to attend.

The agenda for the day will be published both online and at the court centre. The aims are to:

  1. research how you are currently working
  2. find how you want us to work with you to start building a digital and efficient criminal justice system
  3. let you know what you need to do to get prepared for the pilot

You can use the contact details below if you have questions or suggestions about what you would like to see included in the event on 10 May.
