Crime news: procurement process opens for 2025 crime contract
Procurement process opens for delivery of criminal legal aid services from Tuesday 1 October 2025.
Crime tender opportunities
Existing contract holders and new entrants are invited to tender for a new 10-year crime contract starting on Tuesday 1 October 2025.
Organisations can apply at any point in the first 9 years of the contract but if you want your contract to start on Tuesday 1 October 2025 and to join duty schemes from that day, you must submit your tender by Tuesday 22 October 2024.
If you submit your tender after this date but before Wednesday 30 April 2025, your contract will start on Tuesday 1 October 2025. However, you will be unable to join a duty rota until January 2026.
Tenders received from Thursday 1 May 2025 will be opened from the month after receipt from July 2025 and, where successful, your contract will commence no later than three months after processing began.

Tenders must be submitted using the LAA’s eTendering system.
