Culture Secretary reappoints BBC Trust member for Scotland
Bill Matthews has been reappointed as BBC Trustee for Scotland for the period 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2016.
An engineer by training, Bill spent over 20 years in the private sector in marketing and operations roles for large and small companies in the electronics market, mainly in Scotland. He then decided to contribute his business expertise to the public sector, building on his experience as a non-executive at the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, and took on a number of roles for the Scottish Government. Bill combines his business and managerial expertise with long involvement in public service broadcasting through his membership of the Broadcasting Council and then the Audience Council for Scotland, and joined the BBC Trust in 2011.
