Damehood is conferred upon Elisabeth Mary Caroline Laing, QC on her appointment as a Justice of the High Court.

The Queen has been pleased to approve that the honour of Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (DBE) be conferred upon Elisabeth Mary Caroline Laing QC on her appointment as a Justice of the High Court.
Elisabeth Mary Caroline Laing was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 1980 and took Silk in 2008. She was appointed a Recorder in 2000 and a Deputy High Court Judge in 2010.
