DBS awards new contracts to suppliers for IT and contact centre services
DBS has awarded contracts to two new suppliers who will take over IT services and contact centre services in March 2020.
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) has recently awarded two new contracts - the first to CGI IT UK Ltd for the provision of information technology services, and the second to Hinduja Global Solutions UK Ltd for contact centre services.
These contracts have been awarded following the completion of two fair, and open procurement exercises using Crown Commercial Service frameworks.
Services will transfer to CGI and HGS in March 2020. Once this is completed, DBS will be working with the suppliers to deliver its strategic objectives, which will include improving the customer experience.
Chief Executive of DBS, Eric Robinson, said:
DBS play a vital role in helping employers make informed recruitment decisions. This is an exciting new chapter for us as we work with CGI and HGS to continue to deliver a high level of service for our customers.
By moving from one supplier to two we can manage the services more effectively and drive better value for public money.
Both CGI and HGS have significant experience delivering for UK government, and I am confident that we have found the right suppliers to support the organisation.
There is no anticipated impact to live DBS services during this transitional period.
