DBS prepares to host Spring Conference 2024

DBS prepares to host a free, virtual conference featuring a range of expert speakers sharing insights to support better safeguarding decision-making.

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is preparing to host a free-of-charge and open-to-all conference with a range of expert speakers sharing insights and information to support better safeguarding decision-making.

DBS supports employers to make safer recruitment decisions by processing and issuing criminal record checks and by maintaining the Adults’ and Children’s Barred Lists.

On Tuesday 30 April, via LinkedIn social media platform, it will host its Spring Conference 2024 where it will stream a series of engaging and informative events.

Each webinar will be hosted by specialists in the areas they will discuss, and will feature question-and-answer opportunities with DBS experts.

  • 1pm – 1.30pm: Using our DBS Update Service to keep DBS certificates up-to-date – presented by Rebecca Bool and Kiran Rehal, Partnerships Team 
     
  • 2pm – 2.50pm: Providing the information needed to make a balanced safeguarding decision – presented by Paul Grief, Meghan Henry and Amanda Wakes, Barring and Safeguarding Directorate 
     
  • 3pm – 3.30pm: An Introduction to Basic DBS Checks – presented by Nene Udofot, Commercial Development Manager
