To help ensure a robust evidence base to support the deployment of renewable energy, in 2010 DECC published a . These assessments have now been completed by each region to help support local authorities and communities make the most of opportunities for renewable energy deployment in their areas. A review of approaches adopted by the regions to the methodology has been produced by the National Non-Food Crop Centre.
