Deputy Governor attends Commonwealth public sector conference
The Hon Anya Williams heads to the Commonwealth Secretariat Caribbean heads of public sector event in St Lucia this week.
The conference brings together the Commonwealth Caribbean Cabinet Secretaries and Heads of Public Service with the aim of having in depth discussions, reflections and action plans that contributes to improving the region’s public service.
The Cabinet Secretaries’ Consultative forum will broadly serve to stimulate the Commonwealth Caribbean public sector leaders’ thinking on new cutting edge ideas, encourage their engagement in meaningful debate with the view of sharing experience, informing new thinking and reflection to promote more effective public service delivery.
These leaders will be exposed to the new and innovative thinking in public sector management and its related themes such as strengthening the centre of government and the promotion of good governance. Against this background, the specific objectives of the meeting are as follows:
