Digital Services 2 is now live on the Digital Marketplace
Digital Services 2 incorporates user feedback to provide an improved solution to buy, design and deliver digital services in an agile way.
The Digital Services 2 agreement is now live on the Digital Marketplace helping support the delivery of the Government Digital Strategy by:
- giving customers easy access to 169 suppliers with the right capabilities, who comply with the Digital by Default Standard and align with the Government Service Design Manual
- providing a large, diverse pool of capable digital specialist suppliers, 77% of which are small and medium sized businesses
- ensuring supplier capacity to deliver digital projects at multiple UK locations
- providing a flexible and speedy route to meet customers’ digital project commissioning requirements
New features of Digital Services 2 include:
- 6 new digital roles making a total of 18
- digital capabilities have been consolidated from 8 to 7
- additional experience levels: junior, intermediate and senior
- ability to specifically request technical specialist for niche technologies
- potential for developers to work remotely (where an on-site developer is in place)
- improved further competition process including test or demonstration and scrutiny process
- improved warranty provision
Managed service
For central government departments and their arm’s length bodies and non-departmental bodies a managed procurement service is also available.
