Driving examiner strike suspended: June 2023

The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union has suspended strike action that was planned to affect driving tests during June 2023.

The strike action was planned for different times.

Dates Areas that would have been affected
Thursday 15 June, Friday 16 June and Monday 19 June London, south-east England, south-west England and Wales
Thursday 22 June and Friday 23 June Scotland, north-east England, north-west England, Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, and parts of London

If your driving test is still booked for one of these dates

You should go to your driving test appointment as planned if it’s still booked for one of the dates that strike action was planned for.

Check your driving test appointment if you need to check the date, time and location.

If you had already moved your driving test to another date, it will still go ahead on the new date you chose.
