The Ambassador said:

From all here at the Embassy in Riyadh, Consulate in Jeddah and Trade Office in Al Khobar, and on behalf of all in the UK, I wish the people of Saudi Arabia, Eid Saeed.

I extend this greeting to British pilgrims in the Kingdom for umrah.

This is my fourth Eid in Saudi Arabia. I always remember Eid as a time of gratitude and contemplation, and also joy as generations in families come together.

Both my wife Huda and I are touched and overwhelmed by the generous hospitality of many friends in Saudi Arabia who have welcomed us to their homes for iftar and suhour.

Ramadan has been a period when thinking of others come before oneself, and we all hope that this Eid and others to follow will bring peace, friendship and stability to the region, and the rest of the world.

kullu aam wa antum bekhair!
