My very best wishes to the people of Saudi Arabia on the joyful occasion of Eid al Fitr. This is a time for families and for the celebration of what binds humanity together, both in Saudi Arabia and for the UK’s many Muslim communities. The spirit of Eid is also one of peace and unity. I continue to hope that peace, unity and justice will be restored in Syria and other troubled parts of this region. I wish all of you, Eid Mubarak.
