Innovative Hungarian companies invited to attend a conference in Budapest to highlight the advantages of setting up and running technology companies in the UK.

Event for Hungarian technology companies to find out about setting up in the UK

The Hungarian Spin-off and Start-up Association is organising a conference at the British Embassy in Budapest on 16th October 2013 for innovative Hungarian companies. The conference is in partnership with the British Embassy in Budapest, the Hungarian Association for Innovation, ICT Association of Hungary and the Hungarian Biotech Association.

Conference objectives

Hungarian companies will be able to:

  • learn about opportunities and benefits of setting up technology companies in the UK

  • hear from companies who have been successful

  • network with experts and successful business people from the UK

  • hold one-to-one meetings with speakers

9:15am to 9:30am Opening speech by Gábor Vicze, President, Hungarian Spin-off and Start-up Association
9:30am to 9:45am Doing business in the UK by Kate Marshall, Director, Strategy, Policy & Local Engagement, Investment Group, UK Trade & Investment
9:45am to 10:15am How patent based businesses are incentivized: the Patent Box law by Tony Hughes, Sector Champion for Digital Content, UK Trade & Investment

Cost to attend

Attendance is free for members of the Hungarian Spin-off and Start-up Association, the Hungarian Association for Innovation, the ICT Association of Hungary and the Hungarian Biotech Association.

If you are not a member of the above organisations, the cost for attending is HUF 19,900 + VAT.

We can only accept a limited number of registrations on a first come first served basis.

We can only accept cancellations up until 11th October 2013. Late cancellations and no-shows will not be refunded.
