Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt

Resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the UK’s top foreign policy priorities. Our goal is a sovereign and viable Palestinian State, based on the borders of 1967, living in peace alongside a secure and universally recognised Israel, with Jerusalem the future capital of both states, and a just, fair and agreed settlement for refugees.

The government is committed to working actively with the Israelis and Palestinians, the US and our other international partners, to achieve progress towards peace. Middle East Minister Alistair Burt visited Washington DC in April, where he discussed the Middle East Peace Process with his US counterparts and he intends to return to the region in the next few months.

Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt will answer your questions on the Peace Process live via twitter on 1 May 14.30 – 15.15 (BST). You can submit questions using the hashtag #askFCO and you can follow the Minister on twitter @AlistairBurtFCO.
