Fellowship of Chevening-Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies

The British High Commission Colombo is pleased to announce applications are now open for an exciting new Chevening fellowship programme.

The Chevening-Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) fellowship is a collaboration between the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and OCIS, offering financial support to individuals to undertake a period of independent study and research at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. This programme is aimed at mid-career professionals who are dedicated to the promotion of academic activities which encourage a more informed understanding of the culture and civilisation of Islam and contemporary Muslim societies.

Chevening fellowships offer a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.
