Fiona Pollard and Allan Lambert have been reappointed as VisitEngland Advisory Board Members.
The Secretary of State has reappointed Fiona Pollard and Allan Lambert as VisitEngland Advisory Board (VEAB) Members from 6 March 2022 until 5 March 2026.
Allan Lambert
Allan is an experienced senior leader in the Tourism and Hospitality sector, particularly within holiday rentals and multi-site operations, and is currently Chief Executive of Habitat First Group. His former roles include Chief Acquisition Officer for Awaze UK, encompassing Cottages.com and Hoseasons; Managing Director, Blue Chip Holidays; and,Senior Commercial and Marketing roles within Bourne Leisure Ltd, coveringHaven Holidays, Warner Leisure Hotels and Butlins.
Allan is also a Non-Executive Director for the holiday home rental business Hideaway Holidays Group; a Trustee for the London Early Years Foundation; and, an ambassador for the Family Holiday Association.
Fiona Pollard
Fiona runs her own events company and sits on several boards, including the Roman Baths, one of the most visited tourist attractions in England.
After a career in The City working in the derivatives sector with a number of international banks, Fiona ran the Hop Farm Country Park in Kent until 2006. She still has close connections with the County organising the Leeds Castle Classical Concert each summer. She is a former Board member of the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and the Kent Messenger group of radio stations. Fiona was also a founding member of the Kent Tourism Alliance and one of the original Trustees behind the Turner Contemporary art gallery in Margate.
Visit England Board Members are remunerated at £3,300 per annum. These reappointments have been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office’s Governance Code on Public Appointments. The process is regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. The Government’s Governance Code requires that any significant political activity undertaken by an appointee in the last five years is declared. This is defined as including holding office, public speaking, making a recordable donation or candidature for election. Fiona Pollard and Allan Lambert have declared no activity.
