Foreign Office Minister comments on recent activities along the South Ossetian Administrative Boundary Line

David Lidington: "The UK supports Georgia’s territorial integrity and rejects any events which will increase tensions along the ABLs"

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Foreign Office Minister David Lidington said:

“I am concerned by the increasing number of incidences of borderisation (physical construction of fences/barbed wire) along the Administrative Boundary Lines (ABLs) between Georgia and the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The UK supports Georgia’s territorial integrity and rejects any events which will increase tensions and isolation in communities living along the ABLs.”
