Foreign Office Minister meets Emirati Paralympic team

Eleven members of the UAE Paralympics team, including four women, will be in London for the Paralympic Games to compete in shooting, weightlifting and athletics.

Foreign Office Minister David Lidington met the team members of the Emirati Paralympics team during a visit to Stoke Mandeville.

He wished the Emirati Paralympians every success and took the opportunity to reaffirm the friendship between the UK and UAE, looking forward to an even stronger partnership in the years to come. The UK and UAE have long standing ties and an open and regular dialogue with cooperation across trade, energy, development assistance and security.
