Foreign Office Minister urges restraint in Gaza and southern Israel

Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt 'deeply concerned' by the recent increase of violence in Gaza and southern Israel.

Commenting on Israeli air-strikes on Gaza and rocket attacks by Palestinian militant groups on Israel, Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East Alistair Burt said:

“I am deeply concerned by the recent escalation of violence in Gaza and southern Israel. I condemn any attacks targeting civilians. I urge all sides to exercise restraint, re-establish calm and avoid any further civilian casualties.”
