Foreign Office Minister visits Morocco

Foreign Office Minister visits Morocco and signals strong support for Morocco’s reform process.

Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Hugh Robertson, will pay his first official visit to Morocco on 10th and 11th March 2014. The Minister will hold official meetings, visit a UK-funded project at the Moroccan Parliament and meet a group of young Moroccan leaders.

Speaking ahead of the visit, Mr Robertson said:

I am greatly looking forward to my first official visit to Morocco in my role as Minister for the Middle East and North Africa.

Morocco is a valued partner for the UK on international issues and the UK is a strong supporter of Morocco’s reform process. During my visit I will be reaffirming the UK’s commitment to our political and economic relationship with Morocco and discussing our practical support for Morocco.
