Foreign Secretary offers his condolences to Cameroon

Following the train derailment in Eseka, Boris Johnson says his thoughts are with the people of Cameroon

Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, said:

My deepest condolences to those families and loved ones affected by the train derailment at Eseka, Cameroon, which claimed the lives of over 75 people. I wish a speedy recovery to all those that have been injured.

We recognise the critical part that the various rescue services have played to save lives in difficult conditions as well as the medical staff who continue to treat the injured.

Our thoughts are with the people of Cameroon during this difficult time as you mourn those lost in this tragedy.
