Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics welcomes the Foreign Secretary

The Foreign Secretary met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics. They discussed the need for EU reform, the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU, defence cooperation and Russian-backed aggression in the east of Ukraine.

During his visit the FS also participated in official flower laying ceremony at the Freedom Monument, reconfirming the strong bond between Latvia and the UK.

After the ceremony the FS met the President of Latvia Andris Berzins and discussed the strengthening of the economic cooperation between the countries.
