Foreign Secretary William Hague sends best wishes all those observing the High Holy Day of Rosh Hashanah.

The Foreign Secretary William Hague said:

I would like to send my best wishes to the Jewish communities in the UK and around the world as you prepare to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. In these often tumultuous and difficult times for the Middle East, I share your heartfelt hope that that the new year will bring Israel and the whole region closer to peace.

I am delighted to wish you and your families a very Happy New Year. L’Shanah Tovah U’Metuka (to a happy and sweet new year).
