Free virtual DBS Conference brings together safeguarding experts to share their insights
Join us to explore how we can work together to make recruitment and employment safer.
The Disclosure and Barring Service is hosting its annual conference on Wednesday 29 March – a free virtual event open to everyone with an interest in safeguarding.
DBS supports employers to make safer recruitment decisions by processing and issuing criminal record checks and by maintaining the Adults’ and Children’s Barred Lists.
Its Making Recruitment and Employment Safer conference will bring together experts across the safeguarding industry to share insights and best practice.
The event will provide an opportunity to:
- Learn about how DBS is developing its services and how employers can implement safer working practices
- Hear from experts about abuse and harm, and how this results in a barring referral
- Collaborate with others to develop and build successful practices
- Build connections with peers from across the safeguarding community
Eric Robinson, Chief Executive of the Disclosure and Barring Service, said:
“We want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to access the resources and knowledge, to make safer employment and recruitment decisions.”
“We have developed a comprehensive programme of sessions and workshops sharing key insights into our services and how we work closely with organisations to protect children and adults at risk of harm.”
Register now for the free, virtual DBS Making Recruitment and Employment Safer conference on Wednesday 29 March from 9am to 4.30pm.
