Full support' for Cyprus settlement negotiations

Minister for Europe David Lidington met Ambassador Nicholas Emiliou, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, on Monday 13 June to discuss the status of the Cyprus settlement negotiations.

Minister for Europe David Lidington said:

“I was very pleased to have the opportunity to meet Mr Emiliou and discuss the status of the UN led Cyprus settlement negotiations. I give my full support to both leaders as they prepare for the third meeting with UN Secretary General Ban on 7th July and urge them to seize this opportunity to deliver a lasting peace for the benefit of all Cypriots.”
