GLD launches summer placement scheme

The Government Legal Department has opened the application process for law students to join its one week Vacation Placement Scheme.

Whether they are creating legislation or litigating in the highest courts in the land, lawyers in the Government Legal Department (GLD)operate at the cutting edge of law and government, delivering legal solutions that impact upon the lives of millions. The placements are a great way for students with an interest in law to gain some practical experience of the work of a government lawyer.

The vacation scheme is open to any law undergraduate student or those currently completing the GDL, LPC or BPTC.

There are a total of 10 placements running over two, one-week schemes. The dates are:

  • Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July 2015
  • Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July 2015
