GREAT Monthly Highlights/Forward Look - December
The British Ambassador to Iraq Simon Collis and UKTI team visits Basra province and met Iraqi officials.

From 5-8 December UKTI, working jointly with the Energy Industries Council (EIC) ran the impressive GREAT branded UK Pavilion at the 4th Basra Oil and Gas Exhibition in Basra, Southern Iraq. 10 UK SMEs exhibited on the stand, and over 100 UK and Iraqi company representatives attended an evening reception hosted by Simon Collis Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Iraq at the end of the first day.
The Governor of Basra Dr Majid Al Nasrawi and the British Ambassador Simon Collis had a meeting at the UKTI stand, followed by a tour to visit and welcome the UK companies in the show. 350 companies of 35 countries participated in the 4th Basra Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference, sponsored by 8 companies, including Petrofac UK.
