Ground broken on first post-Hurricane Ike EU housing project

Ground was broken July 28 at the Grand Turk site of the first home to be built by the EU Hurricane Ike Housing Project.

Ground broken on post-Hurricane Ike EU Housing Project

The Acting Governor and board member, Hon Anya Williams, standing in for HE Peter Beckingham as Chair of the Disaster Recovery Board, was joined by members of the Recovery Task Force and Disaster Recovery Board, the Project team and the Contractor, Olympic Construction, in celebrating the realization of 18 months of hard work. Current projections show that 60 eligible applicants will receive assistance from the Project.
