Human Rights and Democracy Programme Fund in Armenia

British Embassy Yerevan is now inviting concept bids on Human Rights and Democracy. The final selection of bids will be made in London by Human Rights and Democracy Programme Fund of the Foreign Commonwealth Office. Projects should begin in June 2015 and must be completed by the end of February 2015. Armenia has not been selected as one of the top countries for this year for Human Rights and Democracy fund but strong bids may still be considered.

The 2015/16 Fund will focus on the following thematic areas:

  • Strengthening Democratic Processes

  • Promoting and protecting of freedom of expression

  • Upholding freedom of religion and belief

  • Promoting women’s rights

To apply for funding, the following procedures and deadlines are applied:

  • Concept Bids should be submitted to the British Embassy Yerevan by December 20, 2014. Required template attached.

  • If shortlisted, full bids should be submitted to the British Embassy Yerevan by January 15, 2015

  • We anticipate that bids will be in the range of £20,000 to £50,000. Any successful bid will need to be well structured and be able to demonstrate strong accountability and good value for money

  • The selection results will be announced by May 2015

  • Bids should be sent electronically to projects.yerevan@fco.gov.uk indicating ‘HRD Bids’ in the subject field.
