Ian Dalton to be Executive Chair of the Automation Taskforce
Former Chief Executive of NHS Improvement appointed to Executive Chair of the Government Automation Taskforce.
Ian Dalton CBE, former Chief Executive of NHS Improvement, has been appointed as the Executive Chair of the Government Automation Taskforce. He takes up his new position on 8 July.
Ian will develop and accelerate the government’s automation agenda, ensuring that central government is fully prepared for, and best able to take advantage of, opportunities to deliver better, more efficient, public services using automation technologies.
Ian brings with him significant experience to drive this work forward, having held a number of senior roles in his career. These include Chief Executive Officer of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, President of Global Government & Health at BT Global Services, senior roles at the Department of Health, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO at NHS England, and Chief Executive of NHS North of England, the North East Strategic Health Authority.
