Improved road markings on A500 at Stoke-on-Trent
Road markings and studs are to be renewed on the A500 at Stoke-On-Trent from Monday 19 May.
The two week scheme will be carried out overnight on a three-and-a-half-mile section of the northbound carriageway between its junctions with the A34 Stone Road and A53 Etruria Road and a one-mile section of the southbound carriageway between the A34 Stone Road and the A50.
A combination of carriageway, lane or slip road closures will be in place to protect the workforce with work only affecting one carriageway at any one time.
Due to the length of carriageway affected the work will be carried out in a number of phases to minimise disruption. Work will be carried out on only one carriageway each night and when a slip road or limited lengths of the main carriageway are closed, diversions will be a relatively short distance to the next available A500 junction. Work will be carried out Monday to Friday from 9.30pm to 5.30am. All diversions will be signed.
