International Women’s Day
Join in the celebrations throughout March.
The 8 March is International Women’s Day; a day of global celebration marking the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
Many events are held across the globe, not just on the day but throughout March to mark the occasion. This year the government has chosen the theme of preventing sexual violence.
In the week following International Women’s Day the Women and Equalities Ministerial team: Maria Miller, Helen Grant and Jo Swinson have also chosen to focus on the theme of women and growth in support of the Government’s overarching priority to promote economic growth.
Why not join in the celebrations and encourage your family, friends and employers to take part in events?
