Jonathan Chapman to join the GIAA Board
The Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) has appointed Jonathan Chapman to the GIAA Board as a new Non-Executive Director.
Jonathan is a senior internal audit strategy and change advisor. Over the last two decades he has held a number of senior management roles in internal audit in the financial services sector, as well as spending time in academia. He is now operating as a non-executive director and consultant specialising in risk and internal audit transformation, including writing and presenting publicly on a range of internal audit topics. He is currently Deputy Chair and Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committee Chair at Staffordshire University.
Isobel Everett, the Chair of the Government Internal Audit Agency Board, said, “I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to our Board. His experience of driving for greater impact that is firmly rooted in the customer will enable us to realise our mission to provide better insights for better outcomes.”
Jonathan replied, “For me the power of the agency lies in its unique position looking across Government and its ability to align its activities to fully exploit the insight this brings. I am very excited to be able to contribute to the achievement of this mission and work with new colleagues on the progressive agenda set out in the Agency’s Strategy as we look to deliver even better outcomes for all in society.”
Jonathan will join the Board from January 2024.
