As part of our Small Projects Programme, the British Embassy Bishkek invites proposals for project initiatives in Kyrgyzstan for activity until March 2025.

Objectives

We expect project initiatives to contribute to the following objectives:

  • media: support and build trust in independent media that enables informed public debate. The maximum project budget for proposals is £20,000. Activity should start and finish between October 2024 and March 2025

  • cyber: raise public awareness of cyber security to address fraudulent online activity. The maximum project budget for proposals is £20,000. Activity should start and finish between October 2024 and March 2025

  • services: improve access to services for people with disabilities, women or marginalized  groups in rural areas. The maximum project budget for proposals is £20,000. Activity should start and finish between October 2024 and March 2025

How to submit bids

We invite project proposals for activity within the specified time frames. Proposals will need to identify a clear and complete set of objectives and relevant activities, with activity-based budget.  Project proposals must have a clear purpose supported by achievable and measurable outputs (e.g. events and reports) and outcomes (i.e. what the project aims to help address through its activity). The project costs can be in Kyrgyz soms/US dollars, but must give the equivalent value in pounds sterling.

Prepare the Concept Note of your proposal on your own template in Word in English and email it to the British Embassy in Bishkek at UKin.KyrgyzRepublic@fcdo.gov.uk by midnight Kyrgyzstan time on 30 August 2024. Mention ‘SPP: Project bid and name of your organisation’ in the subject field. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

Note that bidding is competitive and only selected projects will receive funding. The Embassy reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without incurring any obligation to inform the affected applicant/s of the grounds of such acceptance or rejection. Due to the volume of bids expected we will not be able to provide feedback on unsuccessful bids.
