LAA will no longer accept POA submitted via e-Forms
As part of the withdrawal of eForms functionality, from Friday 2 August 2024, you will no longer be able to submit your claims for Payments on Account (POA).
You will no longer be able to submit your claims for Payments on Account (POA) on legacy, paper-based certificates through eForms.
Submission Process:
The ability to complete CIV POA1 form to claim a POA will continue to be open.
To claim a POA for a legacy, paper-based certificate, complete a CIV POA1 form and email it to us with the relevant supporting documentation to CIS-SFE@justice.gov.uk.
A link to the form, completion checklist, and guidance on where to email your form are below.
CCMS:
This is only applicable to legacy, paper-based legal aid certificates. Any case being managed through the client and cost management system (CCMS) will be unaffected by this change and POAs can be claimed directly through CCMS as normal.
